Build the School Uniform List Before the Rush

Uniform shopping becomes expensive when it happens in panic. The list should be built before the rush, especially for families with more than one child or a school-stage change.

List by use, not by item

Separate daily uniform, sports kit, shoes, swimwear if required, bags, hats, labels and backup items. Check what still fits before buying the full set again. Children often need fewer brand-new items than the first shop suggests.

Shoes and sports kit are the common budget surprises. They are also the items most likely to run out in the right size when everyone shops at once.

Buy in phases

Buy the required first-week items early and leave uncertain extras until schedules are confirmed. The best school list is accurate, not oversized.
