The people who seem naturally organized may simply be catching small admin before it becomes urgent. Life in a busy city is full of tiny renewals, cards, documents, reminders, registrations and receipts. None of them is dramatic. Together, they can become exhausting.
Why early is easier
A document renewal one month early is an errand. The same renewal one day late is a problem. A saved copy of a passport, visa, insurance card or tenancy document is boring until the exact moment it becomes useful.
The trick is not to turn life into paperwork. It is to reduce the number of times paperwork gets to interrupt life.
One folder, one reminder
A simple folder for documents and a monthly reminder to check upcoming renewals can do more than a complicated productivity system. The best admin habit is the one you actually use.
