About Anika
Anika spent her first career as a supply-chain consultant, which mostly meant translating what warehouse managers already knew into slides for people who would never visit the warehouse. The managers were almost always right. Eventually she decided the more honest job was writing down what they knew and putting names on it.
Her beat at Meridian is the physical layer of Gulf commerce: bonded warehouses, cold chains, free-zone paperwork, the fulfillment routes that decide whether a promise on a checkout page is kept. She reads tariff schedules recreationally and considers a well-run loading dock one of civilization's undervalued achievements.
Her test for any trade story is simple: could the people doing the work read this and nod? If a piece would embarrass her in front of a forwarding agent, it does not run.
